The happiness

According to Pascal, the search for the happiness is the motivation of all the acts of the human being. For Kant the happiness would come if it were possible for us to satisfy constantly all our desires.

" For some, as Spinoza, Montaigne, Diderot, this state of total satisfaction is possible and for Epicurus it is even easy to reach. For others, as Jean-Jacques Rousseau it is difficult to reach. For Pascal and Schopenhauer it is impossible to reach " [Wikipedia].

and the happiness being alive speaks to us about the Holy-Name

This notion of happiness becomes important, in Europe, at about the eighteenth century and a political purpose and "societal" with the French Revolution which puts its quest as first article of its constitution of 1793: " the purpose of the society is the common happiness ".

Then people make their own recipes of the happiness. Some will have materialistic aims, for other these aims will be sentimental, even spiritual and for others the notion of happiness does not even touch their spirits; they look for only one thing: surviving, drinking, eating and not being killed by a stray bullet or an explosion. It is necessary to recognize that those are still a majority in this world. 

The search for the happiness is still a spoilt children's quest. 
We became demanding 
and the entry in the happiness becomes, for us, a right. 
But as we have all our idea about the happiness 
it is difficult, for our societies, to institutionalize it, 
to organize its quest. 


Definition of the happiness

For the materialists the happiness will be easy to find with the abundance of money and, in this case, the percentage of people susceptible to find it will be tiny; more or less one percent. Thus the happiness would be possible only for this tiny percentage of the humanity?

If this notion of the happiness was the good one, the life would be still by too unfair, no? Then it must be false. The money doesn’t bring the happiness, at the most the well-being, which is not too bad, all the same.

For those who count not only on tangible assets, happiness would come from the given and received love, from the accomplished expression of its creativity, the spirituality , thus of God.

Before talking about something we have to know the definition. After some searches on the web the definition of wikipedia was chosen because of its simplicity and its synthesis, susceptible to collect the unanimous approval: 


"The happiness is a sustainable state of plenitude and satisfaction,
 pleasant and well-balanced state of the spirit and the body, 
where from the suffering, the stress, the concern and the disorder are absent." 

The bliss

It is a state which sticks perfectly on this definition, this state bears various names according to the country and the time. This state is the perfect Consciousness of the bliss [Satçitananda].

So many different notions, some have nothing to do with tangible assets others put the possession forth however one must agree that it is not possible to hope for the happiness with an empty stomach. Some prerequisites are to be gathered before hoping for the bliss.

The fundamental needs of the human being must be satisfied. He must be able to feed, drink, find accommodation, live in peace and enjoy a satisfactory health ... then, if he doesn’t eat in some porcelaine de Limoges, with cutlery from Christofle and glasses of Baccarat, in the dining room of a villa the Mediterranean coast, it doesn't matter ! 


"Meet its needs is dharma" 
 [Bhaktimarga 1-4-17] 

A well made society should assure at least the satisfaction of these fundamental needs. In India, in the ashram, it is usual to offer to eat and to drink before Satsang because we don’t speak about God to an empty stomach. 

The big secret


This assured prerequisite, how to know this state of happiness, Bliss? It is the existing subject of the numerous mystics and the yoga. There is a secret. There is a so simple secret that when we reveal it, it doesn’t hang on the ear of the inadvertent researcher.

Why does this secret not hang on the ear? Because it is simple and the fact that it is true doesn’t matter: when something is simple we don’t pay attention to it. The quest of the happiness, the Truth, is so essential and vital that, for complicated people, the answer cannot be simple.


"The happiness is in the present moment "

Here we are, it is written, revealed: "the happiness is in the present moment". Really! It is not a rhetorical figure that would tend to underline that the regrets and the dreams of future are vain.

Our modern companies make that you have less and less the spirit in the present moment. You know well that they don’t foster the Peace of mind. Put more spirituality, not necessarily a religion, in your existence. If you wish to know the original yoga, the madhyama-marga, its techniques, make a request en the page of contact.

The original-yoga

The path of freedom is ancient and nevertheless almost nobody, in the West, knows it. If the path is ancient, the name is recent for the western ears. It was given to the path to differentiate it of spiritualities referring to the same origin but from which the practices are different, as the yoga (s) of Trimàrga.

The path is not the assembly of diverse things taken here and there. The raja-yoga, created from the yogasûtra of Patanjali, is close to the path, in its essence, but in its practice it is very different, that is why we didn’t take this name that would have suited us.

In India our path is followed by some ashrams, but they don’t give it a name. They say the path [màrga], simply or the Knowledge (Veda). Sant-mat, Radhasoami, particular spiritual currents live related practices. None is as complete like the path's Sàdhana, Agya, and its four revealed techniques.

This path of freedom or knowledge exists in India for avery long time but is unknown in the West. We find mention in very serious books, published in English and drafted by specialists of the former spiritualities and in certain blogs. It gave birth to the Sàmkhya's school, that of the Yogasutra and puts forward the revealed Knowledge or Shruti.

This original-yoga owes it to itself to be shared with all those who wish for more Peace, simplicity and the Truth in their life.

What makes the path is not so much its four revealed techniques and its sàdhana, Agya. It rests on three feet: the Duty, the Satsang and the Meditation. The teaching of the living guide is delivered through Satsang.

It is this Agya that let the path be a global yoga, a spiritual path of life able to cover all the the day from waking up to going to sleep.

The confusion

"The good leads to One and opens its Kingdom, 
The evil brings back towards the desires of the world 
And the suffering of confusion

"Anger brings to the illusion; illusion to the aberration, 
Consciousness then turns off
And the human being is lost in the ways of the world

"As the pure crystal takes the color of objects placed near him
The meditator free of the mind's fluctuations leaves the confusion
And reached the perfect Consciousness of the bliss
Absorbed in One"

In the texts of the path, in the Satsang it is often question of the confusion. Obviously this word possesses several meanings depending on whether you are a jurist, a grammarian, a psychologist, a politician or a psychiatrist. If you give to this word the semantic load of the jurist, by speaking about the mood of an individual, you will understand nothing in its problem.

As regards to the original-yoga it is the same thing: we use the word confusion, vague to express something concerning the spirituality. If you read dictionaries, they will tell you, about the confusion:

-"Action to confuse, to take something or somebody, for something, somebody else, error, despised."
-"State of what is confused, unclear, disordered, disorder."
-"Situation of a group where everybody stirs in a muddled way."
-"Embarrassment, confusion caused by the feeling of a fault; embarrassment, shame."
-"Defect of order, method, clarity in the things of the spirit."

In medicine the confusion indicates a disorder of the attention and the perception of the outer facts. On the path we use this word to say the state of conscience where is a person completely under the influence of the false-ego.

Obviously, if you do not know exactly what is the "false-ego" the explanation doesn’t enlighten you. There are texts, on the blog which speak about the false-ego, but I am not sure that you will go to read them before returning to this text, also I am going to restore you an explanation, short, of what we understand by "false-ego".

The false-ego is that, usually, most of people indicate by the word ego. For us the ego is not a problem, quite the opposite: it was given us so that our soul is aware of itself: without the ego the soul could not be considered as individuality, could not say «I». Moreover, the ego is what gives it the free-will and the free-will is one of the fundamental characteristics of the humanity. The free-will is the first condition of the prodigal son’s returning back at his father's house. The ego, according to our doctrine, is attached to the soul during all the time of the incarnation, forming what we name "incarnated-soul" or "Witness". 


To simplify extremely we could say that the false-ego is the vanity, in every sense of the word. Every medal has its lapel and the false-ego is the lapel of the ego and the free-will, as the darkness are the other face of the Light. It is this bipolarity which generates the life. The Hindus decompose the supreme God, One or Brahman in three poles, the Trimùrti, the creator, the protector and the destroyer, that is Brahma, Vishnou and Shiva.

Thus, for us, the confusion 
is the state of consciousness where is the one 
who has put its attention completely on the that, 
the visible, the two-tier, and which mind is managed by the false-ego. 
In the Yogasutra of Patanjali this confusion 
is the fluctuations of the mind or Vrittis. 

In a confuse person the reality is seen through the warping veils of the sensibility, concepts , preconceived ideas, doubts and fears. You saw, higher, what dictionaries said, about the confusion:

" Action to confuse, to take something or somebody, for something, somebody else; error ". It is indeed the case. When we take our thoughts for an inspiration coming from God, or the ego for the false-ego there is a mistake, we confuse, we mix-up things. 


You also saw this definition:

" State of what is confused, unclear, disordered; disorder ". I assure you that the one who begins to tidy up the head, by the practice of the Meditation and, for those who had the Revelation of the four techniques and who observe the Agya, this one, thus, begins to realize that there is a big disorder in the head. Well, realizing that is already to begin to remedy it, especially with the Agya we have the tool, the method to reach it, to tidy up the mental sound. Even if it is not the purpose of the Observance, that helps !

The definitions also say that the confusion is...

" Situation of a group where everybody stirs in a muddled way. " Is not it a faithful description of the humanity there? When 15 % of the humanity are divided 80 % of the wealth, is not it a proof of certain disorder there? Without counting the wars, obviously!

 As for ...

"Embarrassment, disorder caused by the feeling of a clumsiness, a fault; embarrassment, shame". The clumsiness and the fault are obvious, known and that a lot of people feels in a certain embarrassment, disorder is not surprising: there is something, in each human being, that knows very well that it is bad what they are doing to themselves and to the world: the soul. Even dominated by a mind under control of the false-ego, the soul remembers the perfection where it comes from and the comparison with the confusion doesn’t let to hamper it, to cause in it a certain disorder.

And to finish, about...

" Defect of order, method, clarity in the things which hold the operations of the spirit. " We only have to listen to the explanations of a lot of people, about this or that to notice this defect of order, method and clarity.

" What conceives well expresses itself clearly and the words to say it arrive easily " [the Art of poetry (on 1674) Nicolas Boileau-Despréaux] we have to admit that things are not conceived well by the humanity. The global warming and the deforestation, the daily loss of biodiversities, the injustice reigning over the world, the cruelty to the weakest and the cynicism of the financiers of all stripes prove us, if proof were needed, that things are not conceived well, in the human mind and that the words, to say it, don’t come easily !

It is to say the confusion in which the world is. When I write the world I imply the world of the human beings, that is the human beings themselves… but what is going wrong in him ? That he isn’t in the consciousness of the harmony which presides over the Creation.

One is harmony and his harmony reigns over His Creation, parts of Him. The human being is the only living being who has the free-will. This free-will was given to him By One [" and God created the man and the woman in his image " (Genesis 1:27)] so that he returns to Him in full awareness.

If the free-will gives to the human being the power to tell yes to the divine harmony, the deep Consciousness, it also gives him that to say no to it and to take the easy way of the immediate appearances and pleasures without responsibilities. It is necessary to admit that often he chooses to say no to it.

There is something, 
in the human being, 
who prefers the disharmony 
and this thing 
is the false-ego. 

The false-ego is the devil, - that which separates, we have to admit that the devil has the hand put on the world of the men. But if the devil is infinitely more powerful than the human consciousnesses, it is less strong that God, little, less strong one degree but this degree makes the difference between very powerful and infinitely powerful.

The Manicheanism of Mani, at about three hundred years AD, described well this fight of the good and the evil. It should be noted that this doctrine was born in the mystic heart of the world.

If you want to be of the good side of the Strength [master Ioda dixit] you have to take sides. It took a lot of incarnations before the human being decides to take sides ! When you will have decided, it will be necessary to make what is good to be on the side of the Light. We propose you a method: the Agya and the Revelation . It is necessary to ask for it, that won’t happen en its own.

Satsang: accept the happiness


It is necessary to agree to be happy. 
When we go on our path since already a moment
and in an increasingly assiduous way, 
we end up going to this observation: we are arrived !
It is difficult for a spirit hooking
to its research, misfortune and the doubt 
to admit this observation: 
the satisfaction of the unceasingly renewed moment
is enough for our happiness. 

The fact of thinking that we don’t have to search the happiness any more but only to keep it, to renew it and to dig it that can induce, in the mind one, a certain frustration: he want to continue to seek. Sometimes the human being found a treasure and he used to continue to seek, to find another one. In fact, he is not the treasure which interests him, it is the research. When he found it, he is boring quickly.

The secret, not to be in this case, it is… suspense… the Observance: one doesn’t reach yet the Realization, it remains to us this purpose, this objective as in the film “Groundhog Day ”. At the beginning Phil Connors [Bill Murray] revolts against the inevitable renewal of the same day. He tries to flee it, by all the means, then he accepts his fate and works, each day, to make this day, perfecter.
The research of the perfection is a sufficient motivation:
that each day is more in the Observance, 
in the Consciousness that the preceding one. 
When we arrive at destination what can we make? 
We can visit the country.


Doing like everyone: screw your life. The difference is to work to live it by leaving the place to the Consciousness of the Holy-Name by the obstinate practice of the technique of the same name. The problem, with the disciples is that some arrive well at the end of the end of the interest that they carried to their existence, then the Revelation at a stretch does not solve all the mental liability at once: it needs a certain latency, before all is positioned back. We should not release before this occurrence! 


As if we shouldn’t have an existence except the Path and that what we have in the life shouldn’t be interesting…but there is our daily life, our dharma, our destiny: do your housework, drive your car, make your papers, assumes your existence, it is not without interest even if it is sometimes an extra work. Screw your life but live it in the Agya, in the Consciousness and that becomes magic. 

The secret is really to respect the Agya. 
We can also benefit from the simple pleasures of the life: 
of a good television’s programm, a good meal, a beautiful exchange 
with one of our contemporaries. 
Simply let us leave from the good point,
 the one of the Consciousness and the evening, the morning 
let us go to God, by the Meditation. 
We put ourselves on the pavement with our bouquet of flower
 and we wait.

 Duty, Satsang, Meditation: the Agya

  ''The Agya, the dharma and the guide
Keep the enlihtened on the path '' 
[Bhaktimàrga 1-5-14]

I want to speak to you about a point which can arrive sometimes, if my memories are good: some deep Meditations cause confusion, when we leave it, but there is nothing there abnormal. Then, in the Duty, confusion disapears and we see the world, his life, under a new day, as if somebody had change the decoration of our life while confusion made like the curtain, with the theatre, during the break. The deep Meditations disturb something in us, it is normal, but it is necessary to let elutriate this cloud to realize that our vision changed. 


When we touche the bottom, we generate a cloud of vase, but the Conscience, which was hitherto limed can be released on this occasion and when the mud goes down again it remains only the Conscience: it is necessary to be patient, to have faith and wait: the mud will go down again: it always goes down again.


As long as we are fixed on the stage of confusion, we see only it, but the Meditation does its work, in spite of us. With this patience and this faith we realize that our vision, our Conscience of the world and us in the world is simpler, more spontaneous, well it is the effect of the Meditation there! It is the Grace in action.

Somtimes we meditate and we leave Meditation confused and we wonder: “
is that used for no matter what I contemplate? I am confused ”. Yes, it is well, continue, it means that it is operating. Sometimes we make cures of artichoke extract to detoxify the hepatic cells and we have the symptoms of a bilious attack. Its cure should not be ceased! It is necessary to continue, it is the sign that it is operating and that it was adapted to make this cure. It is the same for the Meditation, sometimes.


When we cut a stone, we do use a hamer to level it, we generate a cloud of dust, but when this cloud grows blurred we see that the surface of the stone became plane, that our work bore fruits.
With the assiduous practice we realize that the life becomes livelier, more pleasant to live. When we have in heart to like God, we sticks to well making, to observe the Agya. There is the Meditation, to go to the center. The linguists give, as etymology of the word meditation the Latin word meditatus which means reflection. Other linguists give the following etymology: the Sanskrit madha, signifiant wisdom. It is an error of the linguists. I propose, instead of that, the following sanskrite etymology: madhya that means medium, the center.

It is curious to see that the word
media comes from the Indo-European mehdi, or medium. Don’t Mehdi and madhya point out anything to you? It is the same word that gave in old Greek gave mésos or middle, then the gothique midjis, ancestor of the german Mitte and the english middle etc.

There is thus the Meditation which means the middle, the yoga which mean
union, the union with the center. It’s crazy, isn’t it ? It is the purpose of the path.

I notice that our life changes at the same time as our Conscience, than our understanding, then continue to observe Agya as far as you can it, and trust in One and his Grace and think of requesting me if needed.
